Hot is easy. Anyone can do hot, and there are more than enough insanely hot sauces out there with names evoking body parts, beasts of burden and the underworld and its denizens. Fatal Attraction isn't one of those.

We're all about flavor. If it doesn't taste good, what's the point, right? A great sauce has to be something more than just another ingestible welding torch. It's got to have structure and nuance and aroma and, most importantly, it's got to taste really good. That's Fatal Attraction.

The heat, and a lot of the up-front flavor, comes from fresh Fatali chilies, a wonderful African variety of C. chinense. We add mustard, mango, lime, sugar and spice, and, of course, salt and vinegar. It all comes together in a wonderfully rich, complex, delicious sauce that, coincidentally, is quite hot. On a scale of one to five, it's probably a solid four. It's not a beverage. Don't drink it, no matter how tempting it may be.

It's great with eggs. It's the perfect way to heat up a bowl of Chili Canario, made with our Chili Casablanca. You can add it to mayo, with a little turmeric and a drizzle of olive oil to make an amazing condiment for hamburgers. (We call it Golden Glow).

Fatal Attraction is vintage dated. Hot sauce, being a natural product, is subject to the whim of nature. Like a fine wine, they'll change slightly from year to year. So, we vintage date ours. Of course, we aim for consistency, but the more important goal is ensuring it's the best it can be. Every year.
